New Life 4U

New Life CRC in Highland is excited to announce that they are the host church for this Love INC Gap Ministry.  It was launched June 20, 2010.

The Love INC Clearinghouse frequently receives requests for personal hygiene and health care products.  Food Stamps will purchase only food, but our clients often need help with other items essential to daily living.

New Life CRC has responded to this need by working to building an inventory of products such as:  toothpaste, tooth brushes, bath soap, deodorant, band-aides, tissues, toilet paper, combs, shampoo, conditioner, etc.

Donations of full-sized products are always welcome.

You may bring donated items to the Church Office.  The Church Office phone number is (219) 838-0506.  You may also bring donations to the Love INC office in Griffith.

Warming Shelter

We provide a meal the fourth Wednesday of every month at the Hammond Warming shelter. Our church is one of several that have joined together to provide an evening meal year round. Every fourth Wednesday, a group of volunteers get together to prepare a meal usually consisting of hot dogs, baked beans, fruit, chips, cookies, and beverages during the summer months and chili during the winter months.  They then take this meal to the shelter, to serve those in need.  This ministry is dependent on the donations of our congregation to supply the food for the men that live at the shelter.  We thank God that this has been an ongoing mission for many years.  We trust His faithfulness will allow us to continue as long as there is a need.

State Street Lunch

State Street Lunch is a ministry that provides a sandwich lunch to the people at the State Street Center in Hammond.  The Lunch is driven to the Center on the second Wednesday of every month.

We are always in need of the following donations…

  • Bread
  • Sandwich meat
  • Cheese slices
  • Fruit
  • Cookies
  • Individual bags of chips
  • Sandwich bags
  • Mustard and Mayo packets
